Terms of Use

Last updated October 7, 2026

These terms apply to hounsy.com and anything else Hounsy offers through it. By using the site or joining the waitlist, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Hounsy.

What Hounsy is

Hounsy is an independent study tool for people preparing for ARRT registry exams in radiography and radiation therapy. Hounsy is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. ARRT is a trademark of its owner, used here only to describe the exams Hounsy helps you prepare for.

Pre-launch

Hounsy is not fully launched. Features, pricing, and the launch date shown on the site may change. Joining the waitlist is free and doesn't commit you to buy anything. When paid plans open, we'll show you the price and any additional terms before you pay.

Study content, not professional advice

Our questions and explanations are for exam practice only. They may contain errors or go out of date, so check important facts against the references named in each explanation and against official ARRT materials. Nothing on Hounsy is medical, clinical, or professional advice. Don't rely on it for patient care, and always follow your program, your facility's policies, and your supervising clinicians. Using Hounsy doesn't guarantee any exam result.

Who can use Hounsy

You must be at least 13 years old, and you need a parent's or guardian's permission if you're under 18. The information you give us must be accurate and your own. If you request a pilot for a program, you confirm that you're authorized to make that request.

Acceptable use

Please don't:

Our content

Hounsy's questions, explanations, design, name, and mascot belong to Hounsy. We give you a personal, non-transferable permission to use them for your own exam preparation. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without owing you anything.

Disclaimers

Hounsy is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't promise the site will always be available or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Hounsy won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, opportunities, or exam outcomes, arising from your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim relating to Hounsy is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

Ending access

You can stop using Hounsy and ask us to delete your information at any time. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms as Hounsy grows. We'll change the date at the top, and if a change is significant and we have your email, we'll tell you before it takes effect. If you keep using Hounsy after an update, you accept the new terms.

Questions or disputes

If something goes wrong, email [email protected] first. Most problems can be sorted out quickly that way.
